Just over a week ago we left the rainy London town to participate and join Richard Mille in a Regatta called ‘Les Voiles de St. Barth’, located (obviously) in St. Barth! From April 14th till April 19th we enjoyed the perfect weather, great company and of course had the chance to sail with the Richard Mille crew and take part in the race. Before we get more into it here’s a video we filmed during the event! Enjoy :)
Now a little more about the place – St. Barth (or Saint Barthelemy) is a small but very well located island that is an overseas collectivity of France in the Northeastern Caribbean. Besides its long history since the discovery in the 15th century and many fights over the island behind it the place offers some of the best sceneries and sailing experiences.
Our place of residence during our stay was located in the ‘Race Village’ in the capital of St. Barth – Gustavia…I think you can figure why we loved it from these pictures:
Getting back to the purpose of our visit – the race had 70 entrants and and this was the 5th year of the competition with Richard Mille being the official main partner. All that meant Team Watch Anish got to join their team and wear some of the coolest diving and sports luxury watches out there. We’re not going to go into details with technical specifications of the watches here but if you are interested in knowing more about any model in particular write a comment and we’ll explain it in more detail to you.
Of course we were not alone alongside the Richard Mille crew and it was a big pleasure to have the company of our friends Kristian Haagen, Maria Doulton, Porter magazine as well as many other new and old pals throughout the race. After very short 5 days, however, it was over and we had to go back home but these are definitely some of the best memories Team WatchAnish has made this year, and we are looking forward to making more of them :)
Hope you enjoyed the photos and video as much as we enjoyed the event, and look out for Part 2 of our St Barths adventure later this week, showing some of our lifestyle shoots on the island ;)
