Independent luxury watch manufacturer Parmigiani Fleurier celebrated a pretty important milestone last week, the official launch of their first ever mono-boutique in Europe. Located in the epicentre of high-end luxury in London, Mayfair’s famous Mount Street, the brand marked the special occasion with a very special, invite-only lunch. As you would expect the team from Watch Anish were on hand to capture every magical moment.
Putting On A Show
Unfazed by the inclement weather (it is London after all) guests arrived decked out in their Sunday best for what would be a magnificent afternoon. The main attraction of course was the new Boutique itself – which technically opened to the public in December 2012 – a resplendent bit of architecture and interior design that really fits in nicely amongst its new(ish) surroundings, almost as if it had belonged there all along. The overall feel is opulent without being excessive, allowing you to focus your attention on the timepieces, which to be fair, is what we came for in the first place.
That being said Parmigiani did their best to throw in a few distractions here and there, including parking a stunning Bugatti Veyron right out front. For those not as familiar with the watchmaker yet, Parmigiani has had a long standing relationship with the exotic super car maker, which has led to creation of several Bugatti inspired timepieces, including the SuperSport pictured below, which retails for a cool US$350,000.
The main attraction however was the launch of the new 1950 Tonda collection complete with Tahitian mother of pearl dials and bezels set with no less than 84 brilliant cut diamonds. Designed with the discerning fashionista in mind (we know you’re reading this ladies!) the elegant, 39mm case is offered in your choice of either rose gold or white gold and houses the extra flat PF 701 automatic movement.
Now we could tell you the price but then that would spoil all the fun wouldn’t it? Guess you’ll just have to go down to Parmigiani’s gorgeous new boutique in heart of London’s stylish Mayfair and find out for yourself!
Special thanks to the great guys at Parmigiani for hosting us, we can’t wait for the next event!
Address: 97 Mount Street, London (just down the road from the famed Connaught Hotel, whose restaurant coincidentally is directed by the very talented Helen Darroze, one of Parmigiani’s ‘Women of Exception.’)
